βTo what extent are women able to show themselves to a stranger, physically and in person? What happens if I go into their personal space with my camera and ask them to undress for me? In Could it be in your room, I investigate the relationship between sexuality and intimacy at a time in which we are obliged to keep our physical distance, especially from strangers. How do women see themselves? How do they want to be seen? Who is in charge?
In this period, when everyone is longing for physical contact and we mostly connect β even sexually β via screens, Could it be in your room relies on dating apps as a tool to connect photographer and subject. The taking of the portraits embodies our relationship. We are strangers and we both know that at some point I will ask to photograph them naked. Will they let me?
