In this research project, the pixels from an image are used as material to create new shapes. Digital and more tangible manipulations are experimented with and shown through a performance, before and after. Jimmy in Paradise refers to an image used as an example to test the possibilities of the early editions of Photoshop. Named Jennifer in Paradise, this image with a topless woman on an idyllic beach is known as the ‘first photoshopped image’.
