In Shelter Realities, two aliens narrate the behaviour of humans and their use of art as a survival mechanism during the Covid-19 pandemic. Humans have always used fiction as an escape, but in the context of restricted physical movement, the things we used to do themselves become a partial fiction. The aliens describe this phenomenon as ‘shelter realities’, in which art and imaginary landscapes offer physical actions a new place to exist.
