On Crip’s Dead Reckoning proposes a speculative architectural reconfiguration of how we, as Crip people, reclaim and occupy space. ‘Dead reckoning’ is the calculation of the position of a moving body or object in space. By creating a more inclusive architecture, the space reshapes itself and allows for the expansion of dead reckonings. This work envisions a radically accessible dead reckoning by transforming architectural plans into a fictional map, creating space for disabled bodies and Palestinian solidarity. Within the thick walls of violently oppressive institutional neglect, we twist the neck of the ableist perspective by tracing inclusive architectural measures, or in other words, Crip compliance.
