Echo chamber of my yearning / memory foam mattress box “freedom” is a performance and installation touching on the trauma passed on from generation to generation. The installation consists of fragments of pain. Through the script on the floor, it remembers the past and longs for a body to materialize the pain around. During the performance, the artist’s body gives in to this longing and activates the work through movement and commentary. They look for refuge in Virginia Woolf’s words and in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Frustration will flow and memories will leak. As the audience leaves, a new imprint remains.
