Playhouse is a video about the ongoing stress and instability caused by the struggle to find housing in Amsterdam. In the landscape of late capitalism, the housing market functions as a disabling system, creating structural barriers that prevent students and those with insufficient income from accessing and creating a home. The video embodies the (mental) state of being between homes – a state of uncertainty and fragile foundations, where everything feels fleeting and immaterial, where precariousness becomes the norm.
