Tijdsgevoel [Sense of Time] is a ‘material dialogue’ between visual artist Pauline Oosterhoff and blind ceramic artist Annemarie Vogel, exploring how tactile experience enriches modern visual art. The project features sculptures that express the life cycle of a flower, from root to bloom, encouraging both sensory and visual interaction. While many art forms rely on sight, this work shows how tactile elements can deepen the art experience for all. The stone sculpture Levenslijnen [Lifelines] captures elements of a flower bed, created from Pauline’s dialogues with blind and visually impaired artists. Pauline’s Van Wortel tot Wind [From Roots to Wind] and Annemarie’s Wintertijd [Wintertime] respond to this work.
